Services offered in Raleigh County:
Work Adjustment Training-individuals in this program learn to develop the work habits necessary to enter
the job market. Individuals learn dependability, punctuality, self-confidence, judgment, initiative, and attitude. Participants
punch a time clock and learn to work an eight hour day for which they are paid wages. School-to-work- this program is designed
for those students with learning disabilities who may opt to go into employment right out of high school. Students gain hands-on
experience in a competitive job environment. Working closely with the school systems, a natural cohesive unit has been established
to provide the best training for students.
W-T-W Retail Sales Skills Training: This training is provided for eligible welfare recipients as referred
by the DHHR. This is a comprehensive ten-week training program combining both classroom instruction and hands-on training.
Participants also learn key elements to finding a job, filling out resumes, job retention, and other important factors of
maintaining employment.
Community Service/ Juvenile Offender Program: This program gives people with mild offenses an opportunity
to work off community service hours.
