Services offered in Raleigh County: Work Adjustment Training-individuals in this program learn to develop the work habits necessary to enter the job market. Individuals learn dependability, punctuality, self-confidence, judgment, initiative, and attitude. Participants punch a time clock and learn to work an eight hour day for which they are paid wages. School-to-work- this program is designed for those students with learning disabilities who may opt to go into employment right out of high school. Students gain hands-on experience in a competitive job environment. Working closely with the school systems, a natural cohesive unit has been established to provide the best training for students.
