The purpose of this organization is to recruit, train and supervise volunteers from diverse cultural and ethnic backgrounds to assist the court in protecting the best interests of abused and neglected children. Office hours are 8:00a.m.-5:00p.m.
Providing legal services. Will only handle civil cases. No fee, but must meet income guidelines to be eligible for legal services.
Providing an environment for the rehabilitation of offenders and enabling them to make the transition back into society through the use of area agencies for counseling, community support in providing jobs and/or training opportunities, and referrals for other services needed to assist the individual to become a more productive member of the community.
Investigate cases of discrimination in employment, housing, and public accommodations without regard to race, age, religion, color, national origin, ancestry, sex, blindness, handicap, or familial status (housing only).
Monday-Friday 8:30a.m. to 4:30p.m. Criminal Prosecution.
Assist underpaid employees with wages as it relates to payment of minimum wage and overtime wages. Enforcement of the Fair Labor Standards Act, commonly known as the Wage and Hour Law. Assist employees in obtaining job protection under the Family Medical Leave Act.
Monday-Friday 8:00a.m. to 5:00p.m. Mandated by law to protect the State’s forest. Protection against such things as insects, diseases, and fire. Offers land owner assistance.
