Services:

Personal care offers, in-home assistance to allow persons to be cared for in their homes rather than in a long term care facility.  Care such as: help with eating, bathing, dressing, grooming, meal preparation, housekeeping or similar tasks. This assistance can be provided to the elderly, the physically disabled, the mentally raterded and the developmentally disabled.

Eligibility: Hospice of Southern West Virginia exists to serve the needs of individuals suffering from life-limiting illnesses as well as to serve the individuals caring for them. Our emphasis is on comfort and quality of life as we provide the physical, psychological, social and spiritual needs of the terminally ill and their loved ones in Fayette, Raleigh, Summers and Wyoming Counties.

A public service agency of the federal goverment providing free services-assisting in the completion of applications for disability, retirement, Supplemental Security Income (SSI), Survivors and Medicare Benefits. Also, issue Social Security numbers and maintains all Social Security records. All business can be conducted by telephone or appointment, if desired. , Monday-Friday 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

24 hr a day 7 days a week. Secured shelter for domestic violence & sexual assault victims and their children. Provide 24-hour hot line, a wide range of therapeutic services, legal advocacy, case management to assist in establishing a safe home, basic education program, parenting education, children’s programs, community education, outreach services, sexual assault response team, which includes counseling and legal advocacy for victims of sexual assault, and a batterer’s program for perpetrators of domestic violence & outreach services for men.
