Personal care offers, in-home assistance to allow persons to be cared for in their homes rather than in a long term care facility.  Care such as: help with eating, bathing, dressing, grooming, meal preparation, housekeeping or similar tasks. This assistance can be provided to the elderly, the physically disabled, the mentally raterded and the developmentally disabled.

Home Health Services

Clinical Preventive Services, Counseling Services, Immunizations for International Travel, HIV Testing and Counseling, EPSDT-Health Check Program, Breast and Cervical Cancer Screening Program Services (i.e., Pap, Pelvic and Mammogram referrals), Physical Exams, Immunizations, Communicable Disease Control, Family Planning, Sexually Transmitted DIsease Program, Environmental Health Services. Monday-Friday 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Cancer Control Program offers early detection screening program for breast cancer (women over 40) and for cervical cancer (women over 18).  Referrals for free mammography services.  Skill enhancement training for service providers.

This service provides an evaluation, treatment, and rehabilitation for children with chronic handicapping of disabling conditions.  Such disorders or handicaps include: Certain disorders involving the bones, joints, or muscles; heart defects; epilepsy and other convulsive disorders; neurological disorders (cerebral palsy and spina bifida); certain operable eye conditions; kidney and urological disorders; cleft lip/palate and other condition requiring plastic surgery, such as burns; certain conditions such as hemophilia, cystic fibrosis, and sickle cell anemia; ear, nose and throat conditions requiring treatment by an otolarynologist.

Monday-Friday 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.  Family Planning Program offers counseling and education for accepted contraceptives, physical examinizations, laboratory testing, pregnancy testing, voluntary sterilization services, and referrals.

24 hour crisis response (call (304) 256-7100 or appropriate county office number)  Fayette County office: (304) 574-2100l; Summers County office: (304) 466-3899; Monroe County office: (304) 772-5452.  Crisis Stabilization Unit (an alternative to hospitalization for consumer experiencing a crisis that cannot be resolved through less intensive services); case management; individual, family, and group counseling; full range of psychological and psychiatric services for children and adults; substance abuse services, including intensive outpatient, detox, and residential programs, specialized services for pregnant adolecscent and adult women, substance abuse prevention services and DUI services; school-based groups for adolescents.; Monday-Friday 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.  Birth to three program; Medicaid Waiver Services; Family Support Services; specialized services for adult developmentally delayed and chronically mentally ill clients; comprehensive treatment package for children and families, including assissment, parenting, psychiatric services, behavior management therapy, and in-home services. , Evening appointments arranged.
