WV CHIPS covers the full range of health care services: Doctor's office visits, checks ups, immunizations, prescriptions, mental health services, vision and dental services, hospital admissions, including outpatient and emergency services.
This service provides an evaluation, treatment, and rehabilitation for children with chronic handicapping of disabling conditions. Such disorders or handicaps include: Certain disorders involving the bones, joints, or muscles; heart defects; epilepsy and other convulsive disorders; neurological disorders (cerebral palsy and spina bifida); certain operable eye conditions; kidney and urological disorders; cleft lip/palate and other condition requiring plastic surgery, such as burns; certain conditions such as hemophilia, cystic fibrosis, and sickle cell anemia; ear, nose and throat conditions requiring treatment by an otolarynologist.
